Kixi Entertainment has licensed a package of 11 children's TV classics from Soundwood Media. The package includes the iconic british series "The Secret World of Polly Flint" as well as the legendary "Grasshopper Island" by Joy Whitby.
Also produced by Joy Whitby is "A Pattern of Roses", based on a novel by K.M. Peyton. The movie about a teenager who investigates a murder mystery blends fantasy, mystery and crime. This film is also the screen debut of Helena Bonham Carter, known for her appearance in the "Harry Potter" movies.
Another highlight in this package is "Sans Famille" (An Orphan's Tale), a touching French series about an orphan's odyssey to find out about his true identity. The series is based on a novel by Hector Malot.
From Down Under comes "Seven Little Australians" based on the novel by Ethel Turner about the adventures of a gang of miscivious kids in Australia in the year 1880.
For younger kids, the package includes "Trzy misie", a charming stop motion series from Poland about a gang of teddy bears who gets lost in the woods and needs to find their way back to their owners.
And another internationally known highlight is the slovakian science-fiction series "Spadla z oblakov" ("She fell from the Sky") about an Alien who comes to Earth disguised as a 10 year old girl. It's a cult series in Vietnam where a local remake was produced in 2022.
